  • Entry requirements
    A bachelor's degree. Also, all courses within this Certificate program are taught in English. Students must be comfortable reading, writing, speaking and listening in English, the language of instruction. Finally, students should have a basic understanding of marketing concepts through academic coursework or professional experience. If Marketing is new to you, please register for the Principles of Marketing course first; this will provide you with the baseline knowledge needed to participate fully in each subsequent course.

    Designed For:
    The Certificate in Marketing is ideal for those in entry or mid-level marketing positions who are seeking deeper understanding of the subject. Individual courses, and especially the electives, will benefit those in more senior positions seeking to reinforce their expertise in specific areas. In addition, the Certificate in Marketing can assist professionals in becoming a Professional Certified Marketer (TM) , an American Marketing Association   program. Students may also be interested in pursuing the Professional Researcher Certification offered by the Marketing Research Association.

    Registration:
    This certificate is an open enrollment program.

    Certificate Requirements:
    Successful completion of the three required courses and any three electives within a two-year period is required to receive the Certificate in Marketing from Georgetown University.  Students must complete a minimum of 96 contact hours or 9.6 CEUs.
