  • You will learn from instructors with substantial on-the-job experience in the areas they teach - more than 15 years in most cases.
  • Instructors stay in touch with employment skills requirements through employer advisory committees.
  • They teach skills employers value.
  • Some programs partner directly with companies to supply employees.
  • You get one-on-one attention in small classes - no large lecture-hall courses or teaching assistants.
DIVERSE
MATC has the most diverse student population of any college in Wisconsin and serves a wide age group. Recent high school graduates and older adult students learn together in classrooms and labs.

RIGOROUS
The content of many MATC courses matches the curriculum at four-year colleges and universities. Partner colleges demand high standards as part of accepting credit transfers.
Courses will challenge you as you prepare to become a skilled employee or advance to university-level studies.
At the same time, MATC provides a nurturing environment for students to succeed academically.

SUPPORTIVE
MATC offers many services to help students at all learning levels reach their goals. These include academic support centers, computer labs, bilingual services and special needs support. Several programs support the retention of minority students. Our 18:1 student-faculty ratio allows instructors to give you personal attention. We are the college of choice for many first-generation college students.
