  • Entry requirements The MBA program is housed in Davenport’s Donald W. Maine School of Business; however, MBA candidates are not required to hold an undergraduate degree in business. Candidates with degrees in disciplines other than business may be required to take prerequisite business classes before entering the MBA program. Only bachelor’s degrees from accredited institutions are accepted.
    All applicants must provide the following:
    * A strong record of academic achievement, as indicated by official transcripts. Download a transcript request form
    * Proof of proficiency on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). GMAT waived for Davenport undergraduates with a final GPA of 3.40 or better.

  • Course description The MBA in Health Care Management focuses on strategic, financial, and ethical decision-making skills in an evolving health care environment. The program is designed to advance students’ practical expertise in managing diverse health care processes necessary for individual and corporate growth and development. These skills are integrated through interdisciplinary approaches of health care organizations, ethical and legal issues, financial management, managing projects, information management, and strategic management using case analyses and interactive technologies.
    The MBA in Health Care Management serves health care providers as well as individuals who are involved in the management and reimbursement of health care services. Individuals who desire to enter the health care management field will also benefit from this program.
