Comments about Hungarian Course - At the institution - Los Angeles - California

  • Objectives
    Language Door Los Angeles offers small interactive Hungarian classes. Our comfortable, casual environment helps to make learning Hungarian fun and convenient. We schedule our classes at times that work for busy adults. Enrich your life as you learn one language or learn many.
  • Course description
     For the Beginning A to Intermediate C classes, we use "Colloquial Hungarian" by Routledge.

    Colloquial Hungarian is the ideal introduction to the Hungarian language.

    Each chapter includes a setting with dialogues approached from different age and formality levels. The exchanges are taken from conversations you will expect to hear or have on any typical day in Hungary. The grammar and vocabulary explanations that follows are meant to give you a broad and simultaneously exact understanding of the grammatical material presented in the dialogue.

    What makes Colloquial Hungarian your best choice in personal language learning?

        * Emphasis on up-to-date, conversational language
        * Comprehensive vocabulary lists (Hungarian-English and English-Hungarian)
        * Useful reference grammar notes
        * Dialogues and cultural notes provide introduction to Hungarian culture.

    By the end of this great course, you will enjoy communicating confidently- and effectively in Hungarian in a broad range of everyday situations, both formal and informal.

    Two 60-minute cassettes or CDs are available to accompany Colloquial Hungarian. Recorded by native Hungarian speakers, these complement the book and will help you develop your pronunciation and listening skills.
