    Environmental Design is landscape design for the 21st century. It addresses both aesthetics as well as comprehensive issues and elevates landscape design to the significant role it must play for society's well-being. Innovative, ecologically-based landscape design techniques are being developed to weave the landscape of man and nature together for the benefit of both.

    Prepare yourself for the challenges of a career in environmental design. Graduates enter careers in landscape design, landscape design/build and landscape restoration. Some choose to work for large design firms while others prefer to start their own company. TheEnvironmental Design major can serve as a pre-MLA (Master of Landscape Architecture) program.
