Course descriptionUndergraduate Minor Undergraduate students in any college at Cornell may minor in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies in conjunction with a major defined elsewhere in the university. The minor consists of five FGSS courses with a grade of C- or higher, registered through FGSS or the cross-listing department, none of which may be counted toward the student’s non-FGSS major. An exception to this rule may be made for students in the contract colleges, who may petition the FGSS DUS to count one class from the major toward the FGSS minor. First-year writing seminars may not be included within the five required courses. The five courses required for the FGSS undergraduate minor must include:
- FGSS 2010 Introduction to Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
- FGSS 2020 Introduction to Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Theories
- any FGSS course that satisfies at least one of the three categories required for a major as defined above
- any two additional FGSS courses of the student’s choice
