Master of Arts in Teaching

  • Course description The Graduate School of Education offers programs in elementary and secondary education leading to the Master of Arts in Teaching for students with undergraduate degrees who are interested in careers in education. Students begin their MAT programs of study in late June or early September and can complete them in as little as one year. It is strongly recommended that students enter the program during the summer term. The courses in the program are integrated in learning modules which include monthly, day-long field experiences in Boston public school classrooms in the Fall semester, and student teaching in the Spring.
