Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering

  • Practical experience Computers are everywhere – at home, at work, in cars, airplanes and In our pockets. Since some kind of computing device has become integral to our everyday life, they must be efficient, durable, and affordable. Computer engineers strive to make that happen. They analyze, design, build, and maintain computer hardware – then rip them apart or redesign to make them better and cheaper. At Indiana Tech, our students gain more than technical know-how, they learn to use their innovation and imagination to make the world a better place for now and for the future.
  • Course description Program Description
A computer engineer’s primary focus is on hardware – Integrated Circuits, circuit boards, computer systems, and related equipment such as keyboards, displays, modems, scanners, printers, etc. Computer engineers are often called on to design devices that are both compact and powerful. They must also find efficient techniques for manufacturing them. In our program, you’ll be immersed in a culture of technology and exploration. You’ll be learning in small classes with plenty of hands-on lab work. Many of our students enter an internship as upperclassmen and continue on to full time employment after they complete their degree. All of our professors have worked in the computer industry in recent years. They will be able to teach you exactly what you need to know to competently enter a career after you graduate.

    Career Opportunities
The career opportunities are immense. You might work at a computer design or research lab or a manufacturing facility. Whatever your interests are outside of computers—cars, aeronautics, games, security, even sports or psychology— there is computer hardware out there waiting to be developed.
