    In today´s global economy, where there is a continuous accelerating speed of change, creating novelty and converting it into value has become a key organizational capability for business success. Executives must understand how to develop new products and services, design and implement new processes, create new markets, adopt new business models, identify new customer and end users segments and leverage an organizational mindset that fosters business Innovation. This executive Master in Business Innovation (MBI) from Deusto Business School has been specially designed to provide a unique experience that will boost your and your organisation´s creativity and enhance innovation capabilities. It will provide a space for reflection to reconsider the taken-for-granted managerial assumptions from traditional business management programmes. This programme fosters new ways of thinking that will mark a difference in achieving visions, objectives and goals from both a professional and personal level.
    This international programme includes a specific module at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School (the leading destination for venture-capital in Europe), Florence where the period of highest creativity in human time (The Renaissance) flourished. After finishing the programme you will be in a better position to foresee and benefit from business opportunities such as the digital revolution, the technological advancements and sustainability among others. You will guide your organization in balancing a traditional business administration and decision making based approach with an orientation to Business Innovation as the new paradigm of the 21st century.

    Aplied Innovation Project  (AIP): The participants will develop an Aplied Innovation Project  (AIP) throughout the programme managing their professional life with the MBI programme and the Project. The participant will manage the project along the programme with the support of a Steering Committee formed by experts in the topics of intrapreneuship, entrepreneuship and start-ups.

    Laura Albareda
    Laura Albareda has worked as a researcher at the Institute for Social Innovation and as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences at ESADE.
    She has recently been postdoctoral fellow at the Carroll School of Management of Boston College and visiting researcher at Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship.

    Kerstin Alfes
    Kerstin is a Senior Lecturer at Kingston Business School, teaching Human Resource Management and Leadership at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She has worked on several research projects looking at the role of the HR function, public management and employee attitudes to work. She is a member of the Academy of Management, the British Academy of Management, and the Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology.

    Shahzad Ansari
    Dr Shahzad (Shaz) Ansari is a University Lecturer in Strategy at the Judge Business School, and Visiting
    Assistant Professor at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He is a member of the
    Editorial Board of Organization Science and Organization Studies, and a full member of the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM).


    Steinar Bjartveit
     Partner and consultant in B&E Consulting as a Lecturer at the BI Norwegian School of Management, he provides a unique understanding of leadership and management challenges by combining historical and academic perspectives with experimental learning. His approach has been benchmarked by Ashridge as the leading edge of business school innovation. Steinar is an experienced certifi ed management consultant that has worked with several CEOs and top management teams both in Norway
    and internationally.

    Lourdes Casanova
    Lourdes, a Lecturer in the Strategy Department at INSEAD, specializes in international business with a focus on Latin America and multinationals from emerging markets. She has taught at INSEAD since 1989, was a visiting professor at Haas School of Business, at the University of California at Berkeley, at the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge and at the Latin American Centre at the University of Oxford in 2010.

    José Pablo Feijoo
    Jose Pablo is Partner Director of his own managed fi rms. He also collaborates as professor and tutor for Deusto Business School. He has worked as a strategic consultant to senior management in Mckinsey & Co to advise industrial and ITC fi rms in Business Development and Strategy (Europe, Latin America). Director of Development Strategy and Regulation of Endesa Europe between 2006 and 2009.

    Marcos Gómez Jimenez
    Founding partner of Orbita97, innovation and creativity organization consultancy firm working for Novartis, Panasonic, Telefónica Internacional, Cuatrecasas Abogados, Jazztel, Grupo Ferrer, Kampio, «la Caixa», Bristol&Mayers and Bankinter, and Director of innovation process introduction programmes for groups of SMEs.

    Francisco González Bree
    Francisco works as Academic Director of the MBI and CMO at Anboto named the World´s Best Start-up at Innovate Summit 2010. Cool Vendor in CRM 2011 Gartner. Red Herring 100 Europe Winner. European Seal of e-Excellence 2011, Europe’s Prime Award in Innovation Marketing. His work focuses on semantics and artificial intelligence applied to Customer Engagement.

    Bart Kamp
    As Head of ORKESTRA’s Strategy Department, Bart is in charge of coordinating and implementing the
    Department’s research agenda, which focuses notably on: innovation and internationalization strategies of private businesses. In addition to his work for ORKESTRA, Bart is a lecturer in strategic management of start-ups at the Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium).

    Oswaldo Lorenzo
    Oswaldo Lorenzo is professor of Operations and Information Systems in Deusto Business School. He was previously professor of Operations and Technology at IE Business School. He has been guest professor and visiting scholar in Manchester Business School, INCAE, IESA, Tec de Monterrey and Bourdeaux School of Management. He has advised a number of companies in Europe and Latin America.

    Edurne Magro
    Edurne Magro is a Researcher at Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness (Spain). Prior to joining Orkestra, she has ten years of experience in working on European,national and regional projects related to innovation and competitiveness at Tecnalia. Edurne´s primary research interests are in innovation systems and policy, the evaluation of public policies and policy learning processes, themes in which she has coordinated research projects and written several academic articles.


    Tim Minshall
    Tim Minshall is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cambridge Centre for Technology Management and coordinator of the Technology Enterprise Group. His research and teaching interests are focused on open innovation, funding of innovation and university industry technology transfer. He is also a non-executive director of St John’s Innovation Centre Ltd, Cambridge. Prior to joining the University in 2002 he was a fulltime member of the management team of St John’s Innovation Centre Ltd.

    Lourdes Moreno
    Currently Lourdes collaborates as adviser in several companies and she belongs to several Boards of Directors. Also manager for Business Angel network in BAC+. As a practitioner Lourdes has worked over 15 years in investment banking in London and she was responsible for managing the area of structured finance in Europe. Lourdes has also worked for JP Morgan in the areas of securities, mergers and acquisitions.

    Mikel Navarro
    Mikel Navarro is Senior Researcher at Orkestra’s Territory, Innovation and Cluster Division. Mikel Navarro is a lecturer in economics at the Deusto Business School. He specializes in industrial competitiveness and regional innovation systems and has published fifteen books and around fifty articles and scientific collaborations.

    Carlos Osorio
    Carlos Osorio is professor and founding director of the Master on Innovation Program at Adolfo Ibañez School of Management in Chile. His work focuses on innovation processes, design thinking based management, and architecture of complex socio-technical systems. He is affiliated with the Berkman Centre for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School, and was visiting research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab, Boston, US.

    Davide Parrilli
    Davide is Reader in Economics at the University of Deusto and Senior Research Fellow at Orkestra’s Territory, Innovation and Cluster Division. Davide is also Director of the doctorate programme in ‘business competitiveness and economic development’ at the University of Deusto in collaboration with Orkestra.


    Jaideep Prabhu
    Jawaharlal Nehru Professor of Indian Business and Enterprise, and Director of the Centre for India &
    Global Business (CIGB). Prior to his current position, Jaideep Prabhu was Professor of Marketing and Director of Research at the Tanaka Business School, Imperial College London; University Lecturer and University Senior Lecturer in Marketing, Cambridge Judge Business School.

    Alejandro Ruelas-Gossi
    Alejandro Ruelas-Gossi is Professor of Strategy and the Academic Director at Adolfo Ibañez School of Management. Previously senior executive with CEMEX, and John Deere. He has just spent 2 years in Spain, as the designer and Managing Director of the think-tank ORKESTRA – The Basque Institute of Competitiveness, in the Basque Country- Spain. He has written several articles for Harvard Business School Publishing with a worldwide impact, which have been cited extensively and reprinted in several languages.

    Enric Segarra
    Enric is certify ed by Harvard Business School as a participant-centred learning facilitator. He began his career working as Product Manager for BBVA and Hewlett Packard in Production, Logistics and Finance, supporting New Product Development and Marketing. Managing Director of Geraplant Associats and Member of the board of directors of CORMA SCCL. He joined BuenaIdea, a consulting firm on creativity and innovation, as strategic partner.

    Chris Shippley
    Chris Shipley is a leading technology and product analyst. Best known as the executive producer of the DEMO Conferences for IDG Executive Forums, Shipley has helped technology companies bring more than 1,000 new products to market since 1996. As a founding partner and editorial director in Guidewire Group, she consults with emerging technology companies in the U.S. and Europe to identify market opportunities and accelerate products to market. Fortune Small Business Magazine placed Shipley on its «Top 10 Minds in Small Business,» and the San Jose Business Journal named her a «Woman of Distinction.»

    Jennifer Stack
    Jennifer has been working for 6 years at Tecnalia, initially as a project leader in the Innovation Systems business unit and more recently in the Ventures group which is dedicated to commercialising the technology and capabilities of Tecnalia’s research teams within Tecnalia’s overall mission to inspire business and generate new innovation-based business opportunities.

    Chander Velu
    Lecturer in Marketing at Cambridge Judge Business School. Previously Chander has worked as a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Booz Allen Hamilton in London. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Chander has held visiting scholar appointments at Columbia and MIT, as well as an FME Fellowship at Judge Business School.

    Bettina Von Stamm
    Director & Catalyst of Innovation Leadership Forum. For the past 20 years Bettina has been an independent thinker at the boundary between business and academia with focus on innovation, with academic rigor, constantly keeping practical relevance in mind. During her independent career she has always placed great emphasis on the combination
    of research, teaching, writing, and working with large companies, believing that each activity feeds into and supports the others.

    Shai Vyakarnam
    Shai is Director for the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning
    (CfEL). He started his working career in small companies, Leaving to complete his MBA and PhD at Cranfield School of Management, where he stayed on the faculty for ten years, before taking up a Chair in Enterprise at Nottingham Business School. Shai has both academic and business interests. His current research includes work on social capital, opportunity recognition and entrepreneurial learning. He has published fi ve books and several papers on entrepreneurship.

    James Wilson
    James Wilson is a Senior Researcher at Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness (Spain) and Lecturer at the Deusto Business School, University of Deusto (Spain). He has previously held a post as Lecturer at the University of Birmingham and has taught at various universities in Finland, Italy, Mexico, Singapore, Spain and the UK. James´s primary research interests are in policy-relevant analysis of regional competitiveness and socio-economic development processes, including issues related to governance, networks/clusters, policy evaluation and the benchmarking of socio-economic progress.

     El programa MBI es una iniciativa de Deusto Business School en colaboración con la Agencia Vasca de la Innovación (Innobasque), y una serie de centros de renombre internacional como el Judge Business School de la Universidad de Cambridge en Inglaterra. En la economía global actual, en la que los cambios se suceden de manera vertiginosa, no existe continuidad sin una renovación constante.  La innovación se ha convertido en una capacidad organizativa esencial para el éxito empresarial, mediante el desarrollo de empresas ya existentes o la creación de otras partiendo de las ya existentes.

    El Executive Master in Business Innovation (MBI) de Deusto Business School ha sido especialmente diseñado para proporcionar una experiencia única que fomentará su creatividad y la de su organización, y aumentará la capacidad de innovación.  Así mismo, ofrece un espacio para la reflexión con el fin de recapacitar sobre los supuestos directivos que se dan por sentado en los programas empresariales tradicionales.

    En relación con el impacto para la organización o proyecto empresarial, el programa le permitirá:
    Promover la creación de spin-offs dentro (intraemprendizaje) y fuera (emprendizaje) de la empresa.
    Intensificar la coordinación entre la innovación y la función organizativa y los agentes de producción como un modo eficaz de desarrollar programas integrales de innovación.
    Con respecto al Proyecto de Innovación Aplicada, el programa le permitirá:
    Contribuir a que su empresa lleve a cabo un importante proyecto destinado al desarrollo y/o ejecución de una nueva idea estratégica basada en los temas de vanguardia en el ámbito de la innovación empresarial.

    Laura Albareda
    Laura Albareda ha trabajado como investigadora en el Instituto de Innovación Social y como Profesora Adjunto en el Departamento de Ciencias Sociales de ESADE.
    Kerstin Alfes
    Kerstin es profesora titular en la Kingston Business School, donde imparte Gestión de Recursos Humanos y Liderazgo a nivel de grado y postgrado. Es miembro de la Academia de Gestión, la Academia Británica de Gestión y la Asociación de Psicología Industrial y Organizativa.   Es Doctora por la Universidad de Berna en Suiza.  Es Licenciada en Administración de Empresas por la Universidad de Mannheim en Alemania.

    Steinar Bjartveit
    Es socio y consultor de B&E Consulting y profesor en el BI Norwegian School of Management.     Es profesora en el Departamento de Estrategia de INSEAD, siendo su especialidad el mundo empresarial internacional centrado especialmente en Latinoamérica y las multinacionales de los mercados emergentes. 

    José Pablo Feijoo
    José Pablo Feijoo es Socio-Director de su propia empresa. Asimismo, colabora como profesor y tutor en Deusto Business School. Ha trabajado como consultor estratégico de alta dirección en Mckinsey & Co y asesorado a empresas industriales y del sector de las TICs sobre Desarrollo y Estrategia Empresarial (Europa, Latinoamérica). 

    Marcos Gómez Jiménez
    Es socio fundador de Orbita97 Innovation Company, consultoría de organización de la innovación y la creatividad para grandes compañías como Novartis, Panasonic, Telefónica Internacional, Cuatrecasas Abogados, Jazztel, Grupo Ferrer, Kampio, 'la Caixa', Bristol&Mayers o Bankinter. Es también director de programas de implantación de procesos de innovación para grupos de PYMES.

    Francisco González Bree
    Es Director Académico del MBI y Director de Marketing de Anboto, que fue reconocida como Mejor Empresa del Mundo durante el Congreso Innovate 2010.  Ha sido galardonado con el Sello de Excelencia Europeo en Multimedia Red Herring 100, el principal galardón europeo otorgado a la innovación en marketing

    Bart Kamp
    Como Jefe del Departamento de Estrategia de ORKESTRA, es responsable de la coordinación y ejecución del programa de investigación del Departamento, que se centra especialmente en: estrategias de innovación e internacionalización de las empresas privadas. Además de su trabajo de Orkestra,  es profesor de gestión estratégica de las empresas de nueva creación en la Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve (Bélgica). 

    Oswaldo Lorenzo
    Es profesor de Operaciones y Sistemas de Información en la Deusto Business School. Anteriormente, fue profesor de Operaciones y Tecnología en IE Business School.  Ha sido profesor invitado y profesor visitante en la Manchester Business School, INCAE, IESA, Tec de Monterrey y la Escuela de Administración de Burdeos. Ha sido asesor de varias empresas en Europa y Latinoamérica. 

    Edurne Magro
    Edurne Magro es investigadora en el Instituto Vasco de Competitividad-Orkestra (España). Antes de incorporarse a Orkestra, ha trabajado durante diez años en proyectos europeos, nacionales y regionales relacionados con la innovación y la competitividad en Tecnalia. 

    Tim Minshall
    Tim Minshall es profesor adjunto en el Centre for Technology Management de la Universidad de Cambridge y coordinador del Technology Enterprise Group.  Es así mismo director no ejecutivo del St. John's Innovation Centre Ltd. de Cambridge.

    Lourdes Moreno
    Actualmente, colabora como asesora en diversas empresas y es miembro de varios Consejos de Administración. Así mismo, es directora de la red Business Angels BAC+. Profesionalmente, ha trabajado durante 15 años en banca de inversiones en Londres, donde era responsable del área de finanzas estructuradas en Europa. 

    Mikel Navarro
    Es Investigador Senior en el área de Desarrollo Regional, Innovación y Clústeres de Orkestra.  Es profesor de economía en Deusto Business School. Sus áreas de especialización son la competitividad  industrial y los sistemas regionales de innovación.

    Carlos Osorio
    Es profesor y director fundador del Máster en Innovación impartido en el Adolfo Ibañez School of Management de Chile. Su trabajo se centra en los procesos de innovación, gestión basada en el pensamiento de diseño, y en la arquitectura de sistemas socio-técnicos complejos. Es miembro afiliado al Berkman Center for Internet and Society de la Facultad de Derecho de Harvard, y fue investigador visitante en el  Media Lab del Massachussets Institute of Technology (MIT) en Boston, EEUU.

    Davide Parrilli
    Es profesor titular de economía en la Universidad de Deusto e Investigador Senior en el área de desarrollo, innovación y clústeres de Orkestra.  Es así mismo Director del programa de doctorado en 'competitividad empresarial y desarrollo económico' de la Universidad de Deusto en colaboración con Orkestra.

    Es Catedrático de Negocios y Empresa en India por la Universidad Jawaharlal Nehru, y Director del Centre for India & Global Business (CIGB).     Enric Segarra
    Enric Segarra ha sido acreditado por la Harvard Business School como facilitador del aprendizaje centrado en el participante.   Inició su carrera profesional trabajando como director de producto para el BBVA y Hewlett Packard en las áreas de producción, logística y finanzas, en apoyo de los departamentos de Desarrollo de Nuevos Productos y Marketing.

    Chris Shipley
    Chris Shipley es una destacada analista de productos y nuevas tecnologías.  Es más conocida por ser la productora ejecutiva de las Conferencias DEMO para los Foros Ejecutivos IDG. Ha ayudado a empresas tecnológicas a lanzar más de 1.000 nuevos productos al mercado desde 1996. Como socia fundadora y directora editorial de Guidewire Group, asesora a las empresas de tecnologías emergentes en los EE.UU. y Europa para identificar oportunidades de mercado y acelerar la entrada de productos al mercado.

    Jennifer Stack
    Es Directora de Mercados Internacionales de la Unidad de Negocio de Sistemas de Innovación de Tecnalia. Dirige un proyecto sobre las Tecnologías Asistivas Europeas para las TICs realizado para la Unidad de Inclusión Digital (E-Inclusion) de la Comisión Europea. Es licenciada en Psicología y Literatura por la Universidad de Rutgers, y tiene un Master of Business Administration por Kellog School of Management.  Tiene varias publicaciones y ha participado en numerosas conferencias.

    Chander Velu
    Es profesor de Marketing en la Judge Business School de la Universidad de Cambridge. Anteriormente, Chander trabajó como consultor para PricewaterhouseCoopers y Booz Allen Hamilton en Londres.     Directora & Catalizadora del Innovation Leadership Forum. Durante los últimos 20 años, Bettina ha sido una pensadora independiente cuya actividad se ha diversificado entre el ámbito empresarial y académico. Es en este último donde cumple su aspiración de trabajar en un campo que le apasiona, la innovación, que hace con rigor académico, aunque manteniendo siempre presente la importancia de la vertiente práctica. Bettina tiene un "diplom-Ingenieur" der Architektur por la Fachhochschule Kiel, un MBA y un Doctorado por la London Business School.

    Shai Vyakarnam
    Shai es Director del Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL). Comenzó su carrera profesional en pequeñas empresas, que abandonó para cursar un MBA y el Doctorado en Cranfield School of Management, donde fue profesor durante diez años antes de ocupar una Cátedra en Empresa en Nottingham Business School.  Sus áreas de interés abarcan el ámbito científico y empresarial.   En la actualidad, su labor de investigación se centra en el capital social, el reconocimiento de oportunidades (véase el artículo titulado The Innovative Brain, publicado en Nature en noviembre 2008, del que es coautor con la Profesora Barbara Sahakian) y el aprendizaje empresarial.

    El programa MBI está dirigido a innovadores empresariales con una experiencia profesional de al menos 5 años de experiencia profesional y estén comprometidos con la generación de valor mediante la creación de empresas innovadoras y la promoción de prácticas de innovación efectivas.  Entre los participantes en el programa Executive MBI destacan:
    Profesionales con experiencia con responsabilidades directivas en el desarrollo o implementación de la toma de decisiones estratégicas.
    Emprendedores y propietarios de empresas.
     Asesores y consultores de dirección que deseen desarrollar sus habilidades en la gestión y promoción de la innovación.
     Otros profesionales del sector privado o público que estén desempeñando o deseen ejercer funciones relacionadas con la innovación empresarial
