, we love our students as much as we love our animals. We are committed to helping our students succeed during school and after graduation.
From assisting in surgery to monitoring a sick or injured animal, veterinary technicians help care for animals of all shapes and sizes. Veterinary technicians
perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of a veterinarian. These tasks include:
- Collecting and analyzing test specimens
- Taking x-rays to detect abnormalities
- Administering anesthesia
- Assisting with surgical procedures
- Performing injections and running IVs
After finishing the program, you'll be trained in handling and restraining animal patients, office procedures, anesthesia, sterilization, radiology, pharmacology, and other procedures.
