  • Course description The Remington College Pharmacy Technician Program provides you with training, skills, and knowledge designed to help you qualify for entry-level pharmacy technician jobs.

    Working in retail or mail-order pharmacies as a pharmacy technician, you may have many responsibilities including:

        * Establishing and maintaining patient profiles, preparing pharmacy insurance claim forms, and stocking and taking inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
        * Receiving written prescriptions or requests for refills; retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing medications.
        * Pricing and filling prescriptions to be verified by the pharmacist.

    Upon completion of the pharmacy technician program, you’ll have been taught the basic skills and knowledge needed to prepare for your pharmacy technician certification exam if required and begin your career as a pharmacy tech.
