Course descriptionThe Associate in Applied Science Degree in Accounting is a two-year degree that is designed to help prepare students for entry-level employment in the field of accounting. It provides the students with ample accounting background, which can enable them to find employment in corporate and government accounting departments and in the tax service industry. The degree also provides students with the basic courses needed to continue on to a baccalaureate degree program in accounting and ultimately the New York State Certified Public Accountant examination.
