    Ph.D. Program
    A preservation track is available in both the Architecture and the Community and Regional Planning PhD. Applications are reviewed by Preservation faculty and the Architecture or CRP PhD committee, which recommends admission to the Graduate School. Prerequisites for admission include a master's degree or equivalent in course work or professional experience approved by the Ph.D. Committee. The Architecture PhD requires reading proficiency in French, German, Italian, Spanish or other languages approved by the Ph.D. Committee.

    In addition to the standard requirements, applicants must submit a substantial writing sample, such as a thesis, and a statement of intent describing the student's objectives for graduate study at the University of Texas at Austin.
