  Columbia College's Photography Department is one of the largest and most exciting Photography programs in the country. The Photo Department supports a wide range of serious and ambitious photography, including personal work, documentary, photojournalism, studio and commercial work, historic processes and cutting-edge digital imaging.
  
  Challenging practical courses are complemented by a solid grounding in the history of the medium, theory, and criticism. The photography Department also offers an active program of Lectures, Visiting Artists, Workshops, Internships, Exhibitions, and Publications.
