Construction management personnel oversee a construction project from beginning to end. They possess excellent leadership skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and can adapt to changes quickly.

Graduates of Heald’s Construction Management program will be able to pursue rewarding careers as a first line supervisor, construction manager, project manager, site manager, cost estimator, scheduler, or construction superintendent. † These positions specialize in the planning, directing, monitoring, and coordinating processes for a wide variety of construction projects, including the building of all types of residential, commercial and industrial structures, roads, bridges, wastewater treatment plants, restaurants, shopping malls, schools, and hospitals.

As a professional in this field, your job responsibilities will vary depending on the type and size of the construction project. You may work out of a main office or a field office at the construction site. You may oversee an entire project or a segment of one depending on the size of the project. You may be responsible for overseeing general contractors and trade contractors throughout the whole construction project. It will be your responsibility, with the assistance of a construction supervisor, to oversee delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.
